     Margaretha Elisa Neu was born circa 1835 at German Confederation (Germany).8,1,4 She married Wilhelm Stamm, son of Hans Heinrich Stamm and Anna Catharina Hess, on 2 September 1855 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of South Hills, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Witnesses were Gottlieb Neu, Conrad Stamm and Maria Berg.6,1,4,8,7,9,2,3

Margaretha Elisa Stamm was listed as the wife of Wilhelm Stamm on the 1880 census recorded 10 June 1880 at Little Blue, Washington County, Kansas. Margaret was recorded as being 45 years old, born in Prussia.1

Margaretha Elisa Stamm filed for a Civil War Pension as widow of Wilhelm Stamm 20 Apr. 1908 at Kansas.7

Wilhelm Stamm was listed as the head of household on the 1900 census recorded 11 June 1900 at Logan, Wayne County, Kansas. Also living in the household were, her sons, George J. Stamm, Henry Philipp Stamm and Benjamin Christian Stamm, her daughter, Salome Augusta Stamm . Wilhelm was recorded as being 68 years old and born in August 1831 in Germany. He had been married for 45 years. Wilhelm had immigrated in 1850 and worked as a farmer.4

Margaretha died on 16 September 1917 at Washington, Washington County, Kansas,8, and was buried at Saint Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery.8
