     Gottlieb Stamm, son of Wilhelm Stamm and Margaretha Elisa Neu, was born on 2 April 1859 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was baptized on 15 May 1859 at Pittsburgh. His godparents were Gottlieb and Sarah Neu.1

Gottlieb Stamm was listed as the son of Wilhelm Stamm on the 1880 census recorded 10 June 1880 at Little Blue, Washington County, Kansas. He was recorded as being 21 years old and born in Pennsylvania. Gottlieb worked as a farmer.2
