"In the Matter of Ralph Hock and Edith Dunaway
To the Honorable Judge of the Probate Court of said County:
The undersigned respectfully makes application for a Marriage License for said parties, and upon oath
states: that said Ralph Hock is 22 years of age, on the 3
day of Apr 1914, his residence is Zanesville, his place
of birth is Philo, his occupation is tilemaker
his father's name is Charles Hock, his mother's maiden name was
Catherine Smith, that he was not previously married
and that he has no wife living.
That said Edith Dunaway is 22 years of age on the 25
day of Feby 1914, her residence is So. Zanesvile in said
Muskingum County, Ohio, her place of birth is Washington, her occupation
is H.K. her father's name is Daniel Dunaway, her
mother's maiden name was Mary Thompson that she was not previously
married, and is a widow or divorced woman, her married name being
that she has no husband living.
That neither of said parties is an habitual drunkard, epileptic, imbecile or insame, or under the influence
of any intoxicating liquor or narcotic drug.
Said parties are not nearer of kin than second cousins, and there is no legal impediment to their marriage.
It is expected that Rev. Holcomb is to solemnize the
marriage of said parties.
