     Caroline Swartz was born on 30 November 1830 at Kirkel, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, German Confederation (Germany).2 She married Christian Hock, son of Georg Daniel Hock and Katharina Elisabeth Jung, on 6 September 1851 at Muskingum County, Ohio.1,3

Caroline died on 26 September 1898 at Philo, Muskingum County, Ohio, at age 67 years, 9 months and 27 days.2 She was buried on 28 September 1898 at Duncan Falls Cemetery.2,4
