     Maria Magdalena Schleppi, daughter of Balthasar Schleppi and Maria Margaretha Hock, was born on 3 April 1784 at Limbach, (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany). Her godparents were Ludwig Glaser, teacher, and her grandmother Magdalena, the wife of Andreas Schleppi.2,1,4 She was confirmed on Easter 8 April 1798 at the age of 14 years at Limbach, (Saarland), France.1 She married Jacob Diehl, son of Andreas Diehl and Elisabetha Salomea Gortner, on 5 May 1810 at Limbach, (Saarland), France. Witnesses were Andreas Diehl, father of the groom, farmer from Niederbexbach, 50 years old, Balthasar Schleppi, farmer from Niederbexbach, 66 years old, Ludwig Hippert, day laborer from Limbach, 55 years old, and Balthasar Strobel, linen weaver from Limbach, 30 years old.3,4,5

Magdalena died on 28 July 1841 at Niederbexbach at age 57 years, 3 months and 25 days.4 She was buried on 30 July 1841 at Niederbexbach.4
