     Christian Korst, son of Georg Philipp Korst and Louise Charlotte Klein, was born on 22 February 1846 at Limbach, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.4,2,5 He was baptized on 13 March 1846 at Limbach. His godparents were his brother-in-law Jakob Leibrock, farrier, and his wife Katharina Korst, Christian's sister, both from Limbach.4 He worked as a wagon maker at Limbach.6

Christian and Nikolaus was the godfather of his nephew, Christian Leibrock at his baptism on 31 January 1858 at Limbach.7 He married Catharina Schwitzgebel, daughter of Christian Schwitzgebel and Katharina Klein, on 12 February 1875 at Kirkel-Neuhäusel, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern, German Empire. Witnesses were Ludwig Stemmler, from Kirkel, and Friedrich Wagner from Kirkel.3
