Also living in the household were his wife, Clara B. Hannaand, his daughter, Marion A. Hanna, his sister-in-law, Elsie Julie Mar Lawall, his mother-in-law, Mary Lawall. William was recorded as being 42 years old, and born in Michigan. He had married first at the age of 24 years. Both of his parents were reportedly born in Michigan. He rented his house for $75 a month. William worked as a packer for a furniture store, was able to read and write.1
