     Frank Kaps was born in 1559.1 He married Anna Neu, daughter of Jost Neu and Gela Reichel, in 1580.1 Frank was the guild master of the wool weavers at Herborn, Fürstentum Nassau-Dillenburg, Heiliges Römisches Reich, in 1588.1 In 1596, Frank was the vice mayor at Herborn.1 He was the elder mayor at Herborn between 1604 and 1606.1

Frank died in 1606 at Herborn at age 47 years, probably of the plague.1
