     Jost Neu married Gela Reichel in 1557 at Dresselndorf, (Siegen-Wittgenstein), (Nordrhein-Westfalen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was a citizen at Herborn, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), in 1566.1 In 1569, Jost worked as a dyer at Herborn.1 Between 1573 and 1577, Jost was the burgrave of Herborn.1 He was a court administrator at Dillenburg, (Lahn-Dill-Kreis), (Hessen), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), between 1577 and 1581.1 Circa 1590, Jost worked as chief forester at Herborn.1 He was the vice mayor at Herborn in 1600/1.1

Jost died in 1614.1
