According to his baptismal record in the protestant churchbook in Brostowo, Wirsitz, Gottlieb Julius Spieker was born on 11 January 1848 at Bergthal (Prawomysl), Chodziesen (Kolmar), German Confederation (Germany).1 He married Auguste Dziulkowski.1
A son, Ewald Julius, was born to Gottlieb and Auguste on 21 November 1892.1
On 18 July 1914, Gottlieb died at Piła (Schneidemühl), Chodzież, Pozna ń, Poland, at age 66 years, 6 months and 7 days, leaving Auguste as a widow.1
