Peter Zander, son of Georg Zander and Catherina Hoffmann, was born on 27 September 1788 at Förstenau, Schlochau, Marienwerder, Preußen (Germany).1
Between 1812 and 1817, Peter served in the military on both the Russian and French fronts.2
Peter married Zipora Brandenburger, daughter of Gottlieb Brandenburger and Dorothea Elisabeth Ziegenhagen, on 27 September 1819 at Marienfelde, Schlochau.1 He was the estate owner of Gut Steinborn at Schlochau (Człuchów.)1
On 19 April 1849, Peter died at Steinborn (Słupia) at age 60 years, 6 months and 23 days, leaving Zipora as a widow.1 He was buried at Steinborn (Słupia.)2
