Helmuth Johannes Zander, son of Ernst Hugo Zander and Agnes Lindenblatt, was born on 15 September 1888 at Babusch, Schlochau, Marienwerder, Westpreußen (German Empire).1,2 He married Charlotte Karoline Anna Emilie Staegemann, daughter of Ernst Staegemann and Elisabeth Sucker, on 17 August 1918 at Bromberg, Posen, Preußen (German Empire).2 He was employed as a government construction foreman in 1920 at Lauenburg, Pommern.1
