     Georg Christian Völkel, son of Johann Christof Völkel and Christina Margaretha Bertzel, was born on 26 November 1714 at Ottweiler, (Neunkirchen), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1,3 He was baptized on 29 November 1714 at Ottweiler. His godparents were the Countess Dorothea, Christoph Klumpff, and Georg Bernhard Meyer.1,3 He was confirmed on 24 April 1728 at Ottweiler.2 He was in charge of heating the ruler's home at Ottweiler.3

Georg died on 14 August 1784 at Ottweiler, (Neunkirchen), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), at age 69 years, 8 months and 19 days.1,3
