     Bernhard Völkel was the son of Georg Christian Völkel.1 He married Louisa Catharina Ostermann, daughter of Christian Conrad Ostermann, on 29 April 1788 at Ottweiler, (Neunkirchen), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He worked as a master linenweaver at Ottweiler.1
