     Dorothy K. Leichtenberg was born on 14 January 1924 at Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois.5 She married George F. Kober, son of József Kober and Mary R. Theis, on 27 September 1941 at Bloomington.1,3,2,4

Dorothy died on 27 March 2008 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, McLean County, Illinois, at age 84 years, 2 months and 13 days. Her obituary reads:
Dorothy K. Kober, 84, Normal, died at 11:49 p.m. Thursday (March 27, 2008) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

She was born Jan. 14, 1924 in Bloomington, the daughter of August and Catherine Goodger Leichtenberg. She was raised from infancy by her aunt and uncle, Frank and Anna Pfeiffer. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

She married George F. Kober on Sept. 27, 1941 in Bloomington. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Judith (John) Hirsch and Joan Forman; three sons, Stephen (Marjorie) Kober, Michael (Vicki) Kober and Lawrence (Karen) Kober; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.2
She was buried at Bloomington.2
