Raymond D. Kapolnek, 61, of Elk Grove Village, died Jan. 18 at his home. He was born in Chicago.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 22 at Queen of the Rosary Church. Interment was in Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
Mr. Kapolnek worked at BancGroup Mortgage Co.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie D. (née Ward); loving children, Debbie (Tim) Butler, Peggy (Blair) Nuccio; dear brothers,
Jim (Mary Ann), Dick (Barbara), Bob (Jackie), Tom (Diane), David (Gretchen), Don (Bonnie); dear sisters, Maryann (Jack) Cerney, Sue
(Walter) Bronson, Karen (Don) Neustadt, Joyce (John) Furtkamp, Joan (Howard) Henneman; cherished grandchildren, Alecia, Kyle
Butler, Brooke and Nicholas Nuccio; and many fond nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George (Mary) Kapolnek.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the American Brain Tumor Association or Vitas Hospice.

Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village, and will proceed to Queen of the Rosary Church, Elk Grove Village, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel. Mr. Kapolnek was born in Chicago, and died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at home. He was employed at BancGroup Mortgage. Raymond is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie D.
