KAPOLNEK, George J., age 92 of Farmington, passed away peacefully July 3, 2018.
George was born in Detroit, MI on March 14, 1926, the son of Dominik and Anna Kapolnek.
George is the loving husband of 66 years to Therese; beloved father of Michael (Margaret), Patty Benedict (Craig), Nancy, Tom, Paul, and Carolyn Kerstein (Scott); cherished grandfather of Troy, Stacy, Kelly, Heather, Nicholas, Jeremy and great grandfather of Kalista and Meredith; dearest brother of Frank (Celine) and the late Gertrude Olson (Ray).
Family will receive friends Monday, July 9 from 3-9 pm at Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington, with a rosary at 6 pm. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 10, 10 am (in state 9:30 am) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Rd, Farmington, MI.
Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
