     Johann Jakob Leibrock, son of Johann Philipp Leibrock and Maria Elisabeth Lehmann, was born on 17 January 1768 at Limbach, (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany). His baptismal sponsors were Adam Schwitzgebel from Kirkel, Heinrich Leibrock, butcher from Limbach, the son of Jacob Lang from Schonenberg, and Katharina, legitimate unmarried daughter of Michel Manzinger from Rosenkopf.1 He married Elisabetha Fuchs, daughter of Johannes Fuchs, on 22 November 1796 at Breitfurt, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2,5,4 He worked as a linen weaver at Limbach.5

Jakob was the godfather of his nephew, Christian Leibrock at his baptism on 29 February 1816 at Limbach.3
