Johann Christian Lehmann, son of Johann Daniel Lehmann and Maria Dorothea Stahl, was born on 12 December 1819 at Eschweilerhof, (Neunkirchen), (Saarland), France.2
Christian was the godfather of his nephew, Daniel Lehmann at his baptism on 31 May 1841 at Limbach, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern, German Confederation (Germany).5
Christian married Caroline Gros, daughter of Johann Nikolaus Heinrich Gros and Maria Susanne Hock, on 11 May 1843 at Limbach, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern, German Confederation (Germany). Witnesses were Jakob Hock, farmer from Limbach, and Jakob Lehmann, farmer from Limbach.2,6,7 Christian worked as a baker at Neuhäusel.8,4
Christian was the godfather of Ludwig Grub at his baptism on 12 November 18439, and of Anna Maria Lehmann on 31 December 1843 at Limbach.10
Caroline died on 1 June 1848, at Kirkel at age 26, leaving Christian as a widower at the age of 33 years.7
Second, Christian married Susanne Schwartz on 17 February 1850 at Kirkel, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern, German Confederation (Germany). Witnesses werer Georg Hussong from Neuhäusel, Daniel Grub, from Limbach, and Jacob Stemmler, teacher from Kirkel.3,11,4
On 13 October 1854, Christian died at Neuhäusel at age 34 years, 10 months and 1 day, leaving Susanne as a widow.4 He was buried on 15 October 1854 at Neuhäusel.4
