     Ludwig Korst, son of Georg Philipp Korst and Louise Charlotte Klein, was born on 21 December 1839 at Limbach, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.1,3

Ludwig and Karl was the godfather of Philippina Hilpert at her baptism on 6 September 1857 at Limbach.4 He married Maria Gros, daughter of Johann Jakob Gros and Karoline Hock, on 21 March 1867 at Limbach.3 He worked as a farmer at Limbach.2,3
