     Charles Mosher Korst, son of William Korst and Mabel Elsie Mosher, was born on 10 April 1911 at Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.1,7,4,5,8

Charles enlisted in the in the Air Corps in the Philippines Department as a Private on 26 September 1940 at Ft Hayes, Columbus, Ohio.6

Charles served as a Staff Sergeant in the 53rd Fighter Squadron in World War Two.1,2 He was honorably discharged on 29 June 1945.2

Later, Charles was employed as a paper worker at Mead Paper Company.1

Charles died at 4:40 p.m. On 15 October 1949 at Chillicothe Hospital at Chillicothe at age 38 years, 6 months and 5 days.1,2,4 He died of cirrhosis of the liver due to too much whiskey, and ascites.1 He was buried on 17 October 1949 at Grandview Cemetery.1,9
