     Ludwig Baltasar Hilpert, son of Daniel Hilpert and Margarethe Katharina Hilpert, was born on 29 May 1807 at Kleinottweiler, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), France.1 He was baptized on 31 May 1807 at Limbach. His godparents were his uncle Balthasar Hilpert from Bliesberghof, Ludwig Schmidt from Odweiler, and Christian Russi.1

Ludwig Baltasar Hilpert was the godfather of his brother, Ludwig Heinrich Hilpert at his baptism on 10 October 1827 at Limbach.2
