     Johann Rudolf Guth, son of Heinrich Guth and Anna Margretha (--?--), was born at Rieschweiler, (Pirmasens), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 19 March 1713 at Rieschweiler. His godparents were Johannes Bähr, shoemaker and teacher in Nünschweiler, Rudolff, legitimate son of Rudolff Stähel from Ober Loudern, Knonauer, Zürich, Katharina, wife of Jacob Buchmann, tailor in Nünschweiler, and Anna Ottilia, wife of Christian Schärrer, shoemaker in Nünschweiler.1
