     Johann Otto Gentes, son of Matthaus Gentes and Anna Christina Neu, was born on 11 February 1717 at Breitfurt, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 14 February 1717 at Walsheim, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany). His godparents were Otto Wolff, legitimate son of Michel Wolff from Wolfersheim, his uncle Otto Neu, son of the deceased Daniel Neu from Breitfurt, Anna Maria, wife of Georg Gentes from Breitfurt, and Appelonia, wife of Simon Schwartz from Walsheim.1
