     Johann Georg Gentes, son of Jacob Gentes and Ursula Schwartz, was born on 26 April 1722 at Breitfurt, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 29 April 1722 at Walsheim, (Saarland). His godparents were Simon Schwartz from Walsheim, Georg Neu from Breitfurt, Elisabetha, legitimate daughter of Christophel Schwartz, and Catharina Bley from Hornbach.1 He married Maria Elisabetha Thal on 18 July 1748 at Walsheim, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2

Georg died on 13 August 1752 at Breitfurt at age 30 years, 3 months and 18 days3, and was buried on 14 August 1752.3
