     Johann Christoph Zapp, son of Johann Franciscus Zapp and Sibilla Ottilia Schmalenberger, was born on 21 December 1795 at Holbornerhof, (Kaiserslautern), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 23 December 1795 at Heimkirchen, (Rheinland-Pfalz). His godparents were Johann Christoph Zapp, member of the court in Holborn, and his wife Maria Christina.1
