     Maria Catharina Braun, daughter of Jacob Braun and Anna Catharina Gödel, was born on 28 May 1763 at Wolfstein, (Kusel), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 She was baptized on 29 May 1763 at Wolfstein. Her godparents were Jacob, Sohn von Jacob Jung, son of the deceased Jacob Jung, citizen and master joiner in Wolfstein, and Maria Catharina Mentzer, both from Wolfstein.1
