     Martin Charpontier was the son of Louis Charpontier.1 He married Johanna Maria Lutter, daughter of Georg Jacob Lutter and Maria Magdalena Hussong, on 17 January 1796 at Limbach, (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was a dragoon in the 4th regiment of the French dragoons.1
