     James W. Evans and Elizabeth M. Korst, daughter of Philip Korst and Catharine Sterr,obtained a marriage license on 14 September 1896 at Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio.5 They married on 15 September 1896 at St. Paul's Church, at Chillicothe by Rector Edgar G. Murphy. The Probate Judge was James M. Thomas.1,2 They were later divorced.6
