     Jacob Ludwig Heinrich Euler, son of Johann Jacob Euler and Sophia Barbara Imhof, was born on 6 January 1780 at Wolfersweiler, (Sankt Wendel), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany). His godparents were court clerk Bonnet from Nohfelden, Heinrich Selinger from Eichelscheid, and Louisa, daughter of Inspector Müller from Kusel.1
