     Johann Jacob Korst, son of Johann Jacob Korst and Anna Catharina Bischof, was born on 8 November 1764 at Waldmohr, (Kusel), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 11 November 1764 at Waldmohr.1 He married Maria Barbara Steuer on 23 May 1797 at Waldmohr, (Kusel), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2

Jacob died of a chest infection on 24 February 1806 at Waldmohr at age 41 years, 3 months and 16 days3, and was buried on 26 February 1806 at Waldmohr.3
