     Johann Nicklaus Christian Crußius, son of Johann Nickel Crusius and Maria Susanne Sieber, was born on 19 February 1765 at Homburg, (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 21 February 1765 at Homburg. His godparents were Nicklaus Bli___macher, mayor, Johann Christian Gortens, citizen and master tanner, Catharina, unmarried daughter of Adam Crusius, master butcher and church elder in Homburg.1
