     Christian Hussong, son of Christian Daniel Hussong and Philippina Schwitzgebel, was born on 4 January 1859 at Altstadt, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.1 He was baptized on 8 February 1859 at Altstadt. His godparents were Philipp Hünerberger, farmer from Käshofen, and Magdalena Neu, wife of Johannes Scherer, from Niederbexbach.1
