     Philipp Jacob Welsch, son of Johannes Welsch and Maria Martha Helfenstein, was born on 3 February 1763 at Baumholder, (Birkenfeld), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He was baptized on 8 February 1763 at Baumholder. His godparents were Jacob Weyerbacher, Philipp Luftwalter(?), and Elisabeth, daughter of the deceased Brand Forster.1

Philipp died on 12 April 1765 at Baumholder at age 2 years, 2 months and 9 days2, and was buried on 14 April 1765 at Baumholder.2
