     Johann Jacob Welsch, son of Johannes Welsch and Maria Martha Helfenstein, was born on 6 August 1754 at Baumholder, (Birkenfeld), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).2,1 He was baptized on 11 August 1754 at Baumholder. His godparents were Johann Nickel, son of Johannes Heintz, Johann Jacob, son of Jacob __, and Anna Maria, widow of the deceased Jakob Wolff.2

Jacob died on 8 January 1759 at Baumholder at age 4 years, 5 months and 2 days1, and was buried on 10 January 1759 at Baumholder.1
