     Catharina Louisa Wulff Welsch, daughter of Johann Adam Welsch and Maria Elisabeth Bier, was born on 9 July 1763 at Baumholder, (Birkenfeld), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 She was baptized on 15 July 1763 at Baumholder. Her godparents were Michel Bier, tailor, son of the deceased Nickel Bier, Anna Catharina, wife of Jacob Bier, and Maria Louisa, wife of Jacob Conrad.1
