     Catharina Elisabeth Welsch, daughter of Johannes Welsch and Maria Martha Helfenstein, was born on 18 August 1757 at Baumholder, (Birkenfeld), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 She was baptized on 2 September 1757 at Baumholder. Her godparents were Heinrich Frick from Baumholder, Anna Elisabeth, wife of Heinrich Welscher, and Anna Catharina, wife of Georg Weyerbacher.1
