     Johann Matthias Rauschwendel, son of Daniel Rauschwendel and Katharina Rauschwendel, was born on 7 November 1752 at Ruschberg, (Birkenfeld), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He married Christina Cartharius, daughter of Peter Cartharius, on 29 September 1782 at Ruschberg.1
