Christophel Brand1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
M, d. October 1669
Christophel Brand was reformed deacon at Monzingen, (Bad Kreuznach), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), between 1634 and 16369,8, and a pastor at Kellenbach, (Bad Kreuznach), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).9,8

Christophel already applied for the position of pastor in Mimbach, because his wife owned land in Webenheim and Böckweiler in 1661.11
Christophel sold estates which came from Hans Schwartz and Jacob Landgraf, on 4 April 1661 at Webenheim, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).10
Christophel married Anna Elisabeth (--?--) on 4 April 1661.2,7 Between 1665 and 1669, he held the position of pastor at Mimbach1,12,13,14,8, and took over the school in Webenheim from Johann Weinnantz Schunck.3
In 1665, Christophel complained that the church property administrator took the pears from his garden at Böckweiler, (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), His wife had inherited the garden, but he hadn't paid land tax on it, because of his 30 years absence. He said he wasn't able to feed his five poor children with one apple or pear, because the grain tithe was so high, that he couldn't afford bread.3
On 6 April 1665, Christophel sold land in the name of his wife, who was an heir of Jacob Landgraf from Webenheim.14
At the church visitation in 1665, the census takers conceded that Pastor Brand was a diligent pastor and teacher, but his private life left much to be desired. Both he and his wife were known to drink to excess, and became so inebriated in Zweibrücken that he shamelessly laid down in the public road in broad daylight and fell asleep. His wife stayed the night in Melschbach in the home of a scornful catholic.4
In the church visitation of 1665, it was noted that Nickel Kiefer at Mimbach was Christophel Brand's brother-in-law.6
Christophel died in October 1669 at Mimbach.5,8
The main residence of the Brandt heirs at Mimbach, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), on the Linde, between the churchyard and the main road, was auctioned on 17 December 168115, and on 13 March 1683.15
