Franz Wetz, son of Johann Adam Wetz and Maria Elisabeth Zimmermann, was born on 23 January 1841 at Mehlbach, Kaiserslautern, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.3,2 He was baptized on 29 January 1841 at Katzweiler, Rheinpfalz.2 He married Katharina Henn, daughter of Wilhelm Henn and Katharina Becker.3 He worked as a farmer.3
Katharina died on 22 May 1907 at Mehlbach leaving Franz as a widower at the age of 66 years old.3
