     Oswald Korst, son of Jacob Korst and Elisabetha Schwarz, was born on 16 March 1880 at Kirkel, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.1 He was baptized on 25 March 1880 at Neuhäusel. His godparents were Ludwig Seel, and Elisabetha Kleis, both from Kirkel.1
