     Johann Philipp Buchmann, son of Heinrich Buchmann and Anna Ottilia Hofmann, was born at Rieschweiler, (Pirmasens), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1,3 He was baptized on 27 February 1724 at Rieschweiler. His godparents were Johann Philipp Bepp, mayor, Johann Christian, legitimate son of Jacob Wydler, linenweaver in Rieschweiler, Maria Katharina, legitimate daughter of Isaac Istemann pastor in Rieschweiler, and Elisabeth, wife of Balthasar Spr__ from Bottenbach.1 He died on 26 November 1724 at Rieschweiler at age 8 months and 30 days.2
