     Johann Georg Buchmann, son of Johann Jacob Buchmann and Anna Katharina Gut, was born at Rieschweiler, (Pirmasens), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1,5 He was baptized on 20 April 1704 at Rieschweiler. His godparents were Johann Thomas Sendt, the younger, linenweaver in Delfeld, Georg Hoofer from Rieschweiler, Anna Maria, wife of Johann Jacob Weydler, linenweaver and lay member of the court in Rieschweiler, and Anna Maria, wife of Johannes Bäher, teacher in Nünschweiler.1 He was confirmed on 2 April 1719 at Rieschweiler.2 He married Anna Louisa (--?--).6 He worked as a smith at Rieschweiler.3

Georg died on 25 June 1768 at Dellfeld, (Pirmasens), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany), at age 64 years, 2 months and 5 days.4
