     Georg Jacob Buchmann, son of Johannes Buchmann and Magdalena Louisa Wolf, was born at Rieschweiler, (Pirmasens), (Rheinland-Pfalz), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).3 He was baptized on 29 February 1728 at Rieschweiler. His baptismal sponsors were Georg Jacob Wolf from Rieschweiler, Johann Jacob Gutt, linen weaver from Rieschweiler, the wife of his granduncle, Anna Maria, wife of Johann Jacob Wydtler, linen weaver from Rieschweiler, and Juliana Hoffmann from Battweiler.3 He died on 1 March 1729 at Rieschweiler at age 1 year.2
