     Johann Sebastian Schunck, son of Hans Wilhelm Schunck and Catharina Margretha Schwartz, was born on 20 August 1737 at Walsheim, (Saar-Pfalz-Kreis), (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 Because of weakness, he was baptized at home soon after his birth.1
