     Jacob Saal, son of Ludwig Saal and Maria Susanna Saal, was born circa 1786 at Kirkel, (Saarland), Holy Roman Empire (Germany).1 He married Elisabetha Wagner, daughter of Georg Wagner and Catharina Elisabetha Korst, on 4 December 1808 at Limbach, (Saarland), France. Witnesses were Jacob Saal, from Kirkel, age 44, Georg Wagner, father of the bride, tailor from Kirkel, age 65, Georg Wagner, tailor from Kirkel, age 29, and Valentin Glaser, Lehrer from Limbach, age 65.1 He worked as a linen weaver in 1809 at Kirkel.1
