     Jacob Gros, son of Johann Jakob Gros and Karoline Hock, was born on 19 November 1847 at Limbach, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.1,3 According to the civil registration record, he was born on 20 November 1847.2 He was baptized on 5 December 1847 at Limbach. His godparents were Jacob Leibrock, farmer, and Charlotta Alt, wife of Jacob Hock, both from Limbach.1 He died on 7 January 1848 at Limbach at age 1 month and 19 days.1,3 He was buried on 9 January 1848 at Limbach.3
