     Ludwig Oberkircher, son of Daniel Oberkircher and Maria Lehmann, was born on 16 September 1850 at Limbach, Homburg, Rheinpfalz, Bayern.1,2 He was baptized on 22 September 1850 at Limbach. His godparents were his aunt's husband, Ludwig Schmidt, tailor, from Limbach, and Philippina Oberkircher, wife of Jacob Heffner, from Einöd.1 He was confirmed on 20 March 1864 at Limbach.2
