     Doris Cramer, daughter of Ernst-Ludwig Cramer and Blondine Johanna Forster, was born on 25 March 1929 at Elisabethhaus in Windhoek, South West Africa.3,4,1 Doris studied nursing in a private clinic in Windhoek.5

Doris was working as an infant nurse when the mother of a baby in her care invited her to come live at her home for a while, the Gunchab Ranch near the Kalahari, to help care for the child. A young man named Harro Schröder was invited to a birthday party at this ranch and Doris and Harro hit it off. Not much later, Harro visited Blondel to ask for Doris' hand in marriage. He also sent an official request to Doris' father in Germany.6

Doris married Harro, son of Gertrud Möser, on 6 August 1949 at Rogers Ranch. After their marriage they lived on Gunchab, where Harro had grown up.3

Circa 1957,Harro and Doris moved a property belonging to the Schröders at Osterhof, Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.6

Doris died on 8 July 2015 at Freundeskreis Hospiz Dithmarschen, Heide, Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, at age 86 years, 3 months and 13 days4, and was buried at 11 o'clock in the morning on 13 July 2015 at Büsum.4
