Bernard Schotanus1,2

     Bernard Schotanus was born in 1598.2 He was a professor of jurisprudence at Franeker, (Franekeradeel), (Friesland), Netherlands.1

Bernard married Anna Katharina Althusius, daughter of Johannes Althusius and Margaretha Naurath, in September 1626.1,2 In 1635, Bernard was a professor of jurisprudence at Utrecht, Netherlands1, and in 1641 at Leyden, (Südholland), Netherlands.1

Bernard died in 1652 at age 54 years.2
